What is TMJ?
Temporomandibular joint disorder is the inflammation of the joint connecting the upper and lower jaws. It can be caused by excessive grinding, clenching or bite misalignment, all of which strain the jaw joint and can permanently harm teeth. TMJ is a degenerative condition and, if left untreated, it can cause severe damage.
